The publication considers issues of improving the linguistic resources of the scientific library on the example of VNLU (The Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine).The importance of the formation of an alphabetical index to the library classification allowing to realize Wall Mirror subject access to the resources of the library collection through the online interface of the electronic catalog of the VNLU is noted.The approaches of adaptation of the own classification system of the scientific library to the Universal Tool Set Decimal System (UDC) are considered.
